Sign an unmarked piece of paper with a pen or biro.
Scan it to the size of the signature and save it as a jpeg or png file.
Open MS Word and create a new letter with signature block;
OR use an existing letter with signature block already typed.
After the line that says ‘Regards’ or ‘Yours sincerely’, insert the scanned picture
of your signature. Change the placement to tight and ensure the spacing of the signature
picture between the words ‘Yours sincerely’ and your name are equal above and below
the signature picture. Ensure also that the signature lines up on the left margin.
Move the cursor to the left margin and select the line with the words ‘Yours sincerely’
down to your typed name.
Insert Tab → Quick Parts → Save selection to Quick Parts Gallery
To use the saved signature block -
Position the cursor in the new letter where the signature block is to go.
Insert Tab → Quick Parts → Click on the signature block from the dropdown list of
saved Quick Parts. It will be inserted and no further work will be needed.
When the file is closing, click Yes to save the new Quick Part for future use.
